PTU Examination System
Three MID SEMESTER TESTS are to be conduction in a session and for final internal compilation best of two MST’s are considered.

In each MST two exams are taken each day in the morning and evening
session and each exam duration is 2 hours. For B.Tech Subjects with
Labs, Theory exam is taken in morning session and practical exam for the
same subject is taken in evening session of same day.
Semester duration is six months and each MST is to be conducted after 20 working days i.e after one month approximately.
Final Examinations will be conducted at the end of each semester. Date
sheet for MST’s and Final Examination is displayed in the due course.
The grade of pass marks required is not less than 40% in each paper.
Overall score will be calculated as follows:
Internal Assessment : 40%
External Assessment : 60%
If a student fail in Internal or external examination then he/she have
to register that subject again in PTU by paying fee prescribed by PTU.
Final Examination forms are to be filled by the students in their PTU
logins before two months of the end of semester approximately. The
particular date for this activity is decided and disclosed by PTU.
PTU prepares its Academic calendar and accordingly institute prepares its own academic calendar.

next paper in the supervision of examination in charge.

that whether the no. of answer sheets=no. of students present in the class

Member1 and Member2 will pack the answer sheets.

same day and record of receiving is to be maintained in register by Member1

are taken after one week of regular MST exams. Students are required to
register their subjects in which they get internal or external reappear.

reappear students and they are required to attend those lectures.

Note: Instructions for the
Observer
1) Kindly adjust your duties & inform incharge
examination before availing leave
2) No student should be allowed to go out of the
classes before half time
3) Mobile phones should not be allowed to keep with
students.
4) Students coming late should not be allowed to
sit in examination hall before written permission of Dean Academics
5) All the faculty members should report in
examination cell (A-216 ) at 9:15 am for
morning shift & 1:15 pm for the evening shift.
Incharge
Examination
Duties
of Invigilator:
As an
invigilator employed by ABC INSTITUTE , you are expected to conduct
yourself in a professional manner. In particular you are expected to Ensure
your watch show the correct time.
·
Report
15 minute prior in the examination cell & mark attendance in examination
register
·
Collect
Question papers and answer sheets for the examination room
·
Distribute
answer sheets among the students before 10 minutes of start of paper so that
students could be able to fill the required columns eg. Name… regd. No…Subject
etc.
·
Distribute
Question paper on exact time
·
Verify
that no student is carrying mobile, calculator or any other helping materials
(paper slips) etc.
·
Ensure
that students are taking their seats as per mentioned seating plan
·
Students coming late
should not be allowed to sit in examination hall before written permission of
Dean Academics
·
Candidates
who do not have an allocated seat should be referred to the Exams Cell where
they will be dealt with.Invigilators should not attempt to find a spare desk
for such candidates.
· Ensure
that
all students mark the attendance sheets (Attendance sheets will be
delivered
in the class room approximately 20 minutes after the start of exam).Make
the announcement to the students about their attendance. All
invigilators in the room sign the attendance sheets.
·
Remain
vigilant
throughout each examination session. You should not read books, newspapers,
etc. and will not carry mobile along
with you during the course of the examinations.
·
Remain
quiet
throughout each examination session. If it is necessary to speak to another
invigilator about an examination matter, do so quietly and away from the
candidates.
·
If,
in the opinion of an invigilator, a candidate is causing a disturbance e.g.
talking to or communicating with another in an examination, he/she shall be
warned. If the candidate continues to be disruptive he/she shall be required to
leave the venue. Paper of Candidate will be cancelled and the incident will be
reported to the Examination Cell.
·
No student should be
allowed to go out of the classes before half time
·
In
the end, Take the answer sheets from the candidate, ensuring that each
candidate has completed the cover sheet of the answer booklet.
·
Count
answer sheets and arrange them in serial order.
·
Submit
the answer sheets in the examination cell.
Duties of Observer:
· The
observer will ensure that Invigilator has made all necessary and adequate
arrangements for start of examination session.
·
Students
are seating as per mentioned seating plan
· The
Observer shall ensure that Students are not carrying mobile phones or any other
helping material for cheating
·
The
Observer shall conduct thorough checking of the candidates appearing in the
examination
· The
Observer shall visit the exam rooms
frequently and ensure that the invigilators check the candidates cent percent
for any impersonation.
·
The
Observer shall inspect the toilets meant for use of candidates thoroughly just
after starting of exam to ensure that no material is kept there by anybody
which can be used during exam.
Duties
of Lab Attendant:
·
Lab attendants will report in the examination cell
before 15 minute of start of examination and will mark their attendance in the
register
· Lab attendant will take the attendance sheet and
circulate it in different rooms for attendance of students
·
Hand over the attendance sheet to Invigilator who
will take the attendance of all the students
·
Make sure that all the students have marked their
attendance
·
Announce the Regd. No.s and names of the absent
students before leaving the examination room
·
Provide any other material if required by students and invigilator eg.
Extra anser sheets, steplar etc.
·
Ensure that invigilator have signed the attendance
sheet and marked absent against absenties.
Return the attendance sheets to the examination cell
Duties of Attendant:-
·
Required to be repot in the examination cell on time
and be present for the duty during the examinations are over
·
Distribute drinking water among the students and
invigilators
·
Distribute material, if any provided by examination
cell to the examination rooms.
·
